About
A commercial initiative of ELYT
ELYT Trade & Sourcing is the ELYT unit dedicated to international business development. Working from Bolivia, we identify sourcing opportunities and connect buying and supplying companies across markets.
We act as a commercial intermediary. We do not manufacture, hold stock or sell goods on our own account: we organise information, assess whether one company's needs match another's offer, and introduce the parties when there is a sound basis for a conversation.
What we bring
Close to origin
We work from Bolivia, close to the productive supply we assess.
Prior screening
We review each opportunity before presenting it, so that the first contact is relevant to both sides.
One point of contact
A single contact coordinates the exchange of information between buyer and supplier.
Discretion
Information we receive is used only to assess the opportunity concerned.
What we do
Four lines of work
Our job is to make sure a business relationship can start from well-organised information and the right counterparts.
01
International market development
Analysis of demand in destination markets and search for counterparts for products and raw materials with export potential.
02
International Sourcing
Identification of potential supply sources for specific buyer requirements, with an initial review of the information available on each supplier.
03
B2B introductions
Introductions between buyers and suppliers when their stated needs and capabilities are compatible.
04
Opportunity coordination
Follow-up on the exchange of specifications, samples and terms, so that the parties move in an orderly way towards their own negotiation.
Sectors of interest
Areas under evaluation
Each opportunity is assessed on its own merits. Listing a sector here signals interest in evaluating it, not product availability.
01
Agricultural inputs and raw materials
Products of agricultural origin intended for processing, formulation or field use.
02
Raw materials for industrial formulation
Inputs that manufacturers incorporate into their own processes and products.
03
Fertilisers and soil conditioners
Inputs aimed at plant nutrition and at improving soil conditions.
04
Other opportunities of Bolivian origin
Proposals from other sectors, assessed case by case.
Approach
A four-stage process
01
Identification
We receive a purchase requirement or a supply offer and define precisely what is sought: product, specifications, reference volumes and destination.
02
Assessment
We review the available information and how well the parties match. If an opportunity lacks a sufficient basis, we say so plainly.
03
Introduction
Where there is a reasonable match, we introduce the parties and facilitate the first exchange of information.
04
Coordination
We support communication between the parties while they evaluate the business relationship.
The parties' responsibility
Negotiations, technical and documentary checks, contracts and any commercial commitment rest solely with the buyer and the supplier. ELYT Trade & Sourcing does not act as seller, buyer, customs broker or guarantor of any transaction.
